Missions
Villa Heights supports Missions around the world...
Villa Heights faithfully supports missionaries who "go" all over the world proclaiming Jesus Christ.
Each month, as offerings are given, a monetary gift is sent to each of the 17 different local and worldwide ministries we are partnered with.
Annually, more than 10% of our budget is given to our partners. Many months the amount is made even greater through individual offerings and Dollar Sunday donations. Our gifts are put to work in Southwest Missouri, Sri Lanka, Haita, Mexico, Brazil, India, Japan, Cambodia and many other nations.
Local Partnerships
Crosslines
In 1982, Crosslines Churches of the Joplin Area began with the mission of "Concerned volunteers working together across denominational lines to meet human needs in the name of Jesus." We started with the support of 10 churches desiring to eliminate the duplication of services while providing a centralized location to operate a food pantry and clothing bank.
As the community need for services grew, so did Crosslines Ministries. Today, we have more than 60 supporting churches, over 200 volunteers, and 9 part-time staff members. We just celebrated 35 years of service to the Joplin, Carl Junction and Webb City communities.
Maranatha Bible Camp
Located in Everton, MO, we facilitate life change through quality camps, retreats, and experiential learning opportunities. Our facilities include athletic fields and courts, 2 swimming pools, a worship and retreat center and 4.5 miles of walking trails.
Hearts and Hammers
Hearts & Hammers of Southwest Missouri provides home repairs for the elderly, physically disabled, and single parent or low-income families.
The mission is to enhance the well-being of the community by providing free home repair and maintenance for homeowners who cannot perform the work themselves because of physical or financial limitations.
The projects that Hearts & Hammers assist with include the smallest of tasks such as raking leaves to larger tasks like rebuilding floors.
Ozark Christian College
Ozark Christian College is located on a 60-acre campus in the city of Joplin in southwest Missouri. Founded as Ozark Bible College in 1942, Ozark began with only 16 students.
Today, over 15,000 students and over 75 years later, OCC continues to train men and women for Christian service. In fact, over 90% of our graduates enter vocational or volunteer ministry.
At Ozark Christian College, we help students discover the kingdom assignment that God has for them, and we help prepare them for whatever that is.
Koinonia Campus Ministry
Koinonia Christian Campus Ministry began in the fall of 1967 with a desire to reach the campus of the newly located Missouri Southern State College.
Koinonia’s mission to connect Missouri Southern students to Jesus and equip them to serve still rings true. With about 70 students attending any of our events in a given week, we continue to maintain a Christian presence on campus, fill students with scripture as well as good food, take them on trips, house them in our facilities, and much more!
Global Partnerships
Good News Productions International
GNPI creates relevant media to proclaim the Good News and empower Jesus followers to do the same. We do this through a network of international teams, who use all forms of media to reach the hearts of their people and multiply disciples across the globe.
Our vision is to fill the earth with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.
Christ in Youth
For more than 40 years, Christ In Youth (CIY) has called students and leaders to boldly live for Christ through the hope of the Gospel message and a call to Kingdom action.
Today, CIY works in partnership with the local church, providing more than 100 annual program events for students and leaders across the United States and other countries. CIY believes God has uniquely and specifically equipped every student for Kingdom work.
Within the next decade, more than one million students and leaders will be impacted worldwide through CIY's programs, curriculum, and resources in an effort to turn the Millennial generation into a movement of Kingdom workers, responding in faith and in service to the call of Christ
Jesus Loves Me Home
Jesus Loves Me Home is a Christian-based orphanage located in Gonaives, Haiti, dedicated to rescuing and caring for vulnerable children—many at risk of human trafficking, abuse, and neglect. The organization provides a safe, nurturing environment where children receive education, medical care, nutritious meals, and the love of a family. With the goal of raising these children to become compassionate, Christ-centered leaders, Jesus Loves Me Home is making a lasting impact in a nation facing immense challenges.
